Graphic novel means just that, not graphic in detail 'adult context' but in drawing so basically a book with pictures!!! - Rated
The word 'graphic novel' actually means that!!
Ie a in depth comic book.
All those people who have complained should really have known this!!
As its really just common sense!
In my opinion the 'Odd Thomas' series is one of Dean Koontz best writing so if you're interested in him but dont like reading an in depth text book then this is the next best solution.

Like the first two reviewers I was surprised that this book was in cartoon form and was also very disappointed. There wasn't, as they say, any reference to this being a cartoon book. Despite the smug reviewer in Copenhagen, unless you are into comic books, 'graphic' means explicit, lifelike, realistic, detailed, leaving nothing to the imagination, which we can expect from Dean Koontz's written books. What we do not expect from him is cartoons. The reference to the beautiful drawing, I assumed, meant some illustrations in the book.
In a way it has spoilt the story of Odd Thomas because instead of my own individual mental versions of the characters, all I will see know is those characters and they don't fit my imagined ones!

In Odd We Trusti WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I RECIEVED THIS BOOK.MY FAULT AS I THOUGHT IT WAS A TEXT BOOK FROM THE DESCRIPTION, BUT DID NOT READ THE REVIEWS LEFT BY OTHER PEOPLE.THAT WOULD HAVE TOLD ME TO STAY AWAY.IT,S OK IF YOU LIKE THAT SORT OF THING BUT NOT FOR ME.IT SOULD BE MADE CLEAR THAT IT IS NOT A TEXT BOOK.PLEASE CHECK FIRST BEFORE YOU BUY. ...of course not as good as the books, but this gave me the idea, that maybe Koontz should write a book of short stories concerning Odd pre-Odd Thomas. That would be awesome :)

And for the two other reviewers:
Do you REALLY not now what a graphic novel is, and didn't the description about Quennie Chang's drawings ring a bell?
And since when is Velocidad Swedish? It's Spanish!! I'm terrified that you can't see that (well, maybe not from the title, but when you look inside the book). Plus, Velocidad is not so far from Velocity, so helloooo, it's allowed to think for yourself!

Sorry, doesn't mean to be cruel, I'm just shocked at these posts.

Was very disappointed on receiving this book although I am a big fan of Dean Koontz's books. The write-up should have said that this is in cartoon type characters as opposed to text. Have also ordered another of Dean's books only to find that it is in Swedish!!!!! Again it was not mentioned in the write up, so don't go for Velocidad either!!!!!
